Audubon: Die Vögel Amerikas I, 1829

This is a painting of two red-shouldered hawks perched on a branch. The hawks are detailed, showing patterns on their feathers in shades of brown, red, and grey. They have sharp beaks and intense eyes. The background is plain, emphasizing the birds' colorful feathers. Branches with leaves and a vine are depicted. The style is reminiscent of John James Audubon's bird illustrations.
