Ansicht der Natural Bridge

Amerikanische Grafik 1815–1836, 1835

This artwork shows a view of the Natural Bridge in Virginia. The perspective is elevated, providing a broad view of the landscape. The horizon is obscured by the rock formation that forms the natural bridge, which arches in the center of the image. The brushstrokes are detailed and precise, capturing the texture of the rocky surfaces and the foliage surrounding the bridge. The color palette includes greens and browns in the landscape, while the sky is a soft blue with scattered clouds. A small river flows, with rocks on its surface. A few people are depicted in the scene.
