River Landscape with a Ferry Boat

Niederländische Grafik 1623–1701,

The image shows a rural landscape with a river or canal, flat-bottomed boats transporting people and livestock, a stone structure with arches and a tower, people engaging in daily activities near the water, rolling hills in the distance, and a few buildings in the far-off scenery. The use of watercolor creates a soft and blended quality with earth tones, blues, greens, and pale colors depicting a serene setting.
