Rustic Landscape

Französische Grafik 1830–1844, 1830

The image shows a rural scene from an elevated point of view. The horizon is low, partly obscured by a cluster of trees and a country house. The brushstrokes are detailed, showing the wooden house and foliage. The sky features soft, flowing clouds in cream and light blue. The color palette includes earthy browns, greens, and blues. A figure tends to farm work near a fence, and another figure in a red bonnet stands along a dirt path. In the distance, figures walk towards a well in this serene rural depiction.
