Dresden from the Banks of the Elbe River

Deutsche Grafik 1750–1790, 1782

The image shows a riverside scene with a view of the riverbank and the city's old architectural structures in the distance. A bridge spans the river on the horizon, connecting both sides. Close by, people are on the riverbank engaged in various activities with boats docked nearby. The brushstrokes are precise, and the color palette is earthy and muted. The sky has clouds casting shadows in the scene.
