Landscape

Französische Malerei 1873–1880, after 1876

The artwork depicts a rural landscape viewed from a slightly elevated perspective. The horizon line is low, with a clear blue sky and scattered soft clouds. Closest to the viewer, there is a grassy field with wildflowers and a dirt path leading into the scene. Beyond, several thatched-roof cottages are among trees and shrubs. The brushstrokes are loose and expressive, adding texture to the foliage and sky. The color palette includes soft greens, earthy browns, and gentle blues.
