Flowering Bush and Desert Plants

Amerikanische Grafik 1850–1857, 19th century

The image is a ground-level view depicted in a sketch-like pencil drawing. There is no visible horizon line. The composition focuses on plants across a flat expanse of ground. Details of wildflowers and grass clumps are rendered with fine strokes, giving a delicate, textured appearance. The color palette is muted, consisting of the paper's beige tone and the natural gray of the pencil. The background shows more tufts of grass with less detail than the foreground plants.
