Nile Journey

Elihu Vedder, 1890

The image depicts a landscape with a horizon slightly below the middle. In the foreground, there is a figure standing next to a camel on gently sloping terrain. Sparse trees with thin branches are on the right. The brushstrokes are soft and sketch-like, conveying texture and movement.
