Pietà with Saint John

Deutsche Grafik 1470–1480, c. 1475/1485

The image shows three figures with their full body depicted. The central figure is a male with visible rib bones, a beard, and long hair, dressed in a yellow cloth. Two other figures stand on either side of him; one is a woman in a blue robe with a hood, and the other is a female in an orange robe. Both have halos around their heads and light-colored hair flowing past their shoulders, with hands in gestures of prayer or mourning. The background shows a landscape with green grass, hills, buildings, and a large wooden cross with the letters "INRI" at the top. The sky has a blend of colors.
