Saint Bernard with the Madonna and Child

Deutsche Grafik 1470–1480, 1480/1500

The image shows two adults and a child, all visible from the waist up, set against a green and red patterned background. The adult on the left has a halo, hand-drawn facial features, and light hair under a dark headband. They wear a black robe with a white inner garment and appear to be holding an object. The adult on the right also has a halo and delicate facial features with long, flowing blonde hair. They wear a gold crown and a red robe. The child, seated in front, is nude and holds a playful posture with rounded cheeks and light hair. They sit on a red cloth. All figures have halos above their heads. The scene is framed with a red and green border.
