Old Woman on a Swing

Francisco de Goya, 1824/1828

This is a drawing of a figure on a swing. The drawing depicts a figure seated on a swing made of ropes or wooden elements. The figure's posture suggests they are in motion, captured mid-swing, as they grip the swing with both hands. Above the figure, another unidentified shape or object extends horizontally across the image. The background appears to be textured, potentially suggesting foliage or rough outdoor surroundings, created through an intricate pattern of lines and shading to add depth and movement to the scene.
