Diphogena aurora (Gould's Rainbow)

John Gould,

This is a painting of two hummingbirds near a flowering plant. The artwork depicts two detailed hummingbirds, one in flight with wings fully spread and the other perched, both focused on green and yellow flowers of a leafy plant. The birds have vivid iridescent green throats contrasted with rich, brownish-red bodies. The plant is delicately illustrated, with lush green leaves and slender branches adorned with buds and blooms. The background is a soft gradient of pastel hues, creating an airy and serene atmosphere.
