Trees Profiled against the Sky

Amerikanische Grafik 1857–1868, c. 1865

The image shows a landscape with trees densely planted on a slightly elevated area. The horizon is obscured by the trees and a green expanse extending into the distance. On the left side, there is a rocky cliff face. The painting technique captures fine details of leaves and bark, with vibrant green hues. The sky is clear blue with some white clouds. In the foreground, there is a grassy path on bare earth, evoking a peaceful rural scene. The color palette consists of greens, browns, and blues.
