At Donderen, in the Woods of Drenthe

Niederländische Grafik 1730–1914, 1799

The image shows a ground-level view of a pastoral scene with a tree-lined pathway. A man with a hat and staff stands near a dog drinking from a stream on the left, while another figure with sheep is seen walking on the path in the distance. The trees are detailed with soft brushstrokes, and the color palette is earthy and muted. Natural light casts soft shadows over the landscape.
