Bathers by a Giant Oak

Französische Grafik 1830–1844, c. 1842/1844

The image shows a woodland scene with a large tree at the center. The tree has a dense canopy of dark green leaves with hints of light. Other trees in the distance create depth. The scene has a soft, dreamy effect with smooth brushstrokes. The color palette is earthy with warm browns and greens, complemented by light green and off-white patches. Two figures wade in a stream by the tree.
