Geraniums

Paul Cézanne, 1888/1890

This painting shows three large potted plants with round green leaves that fill most of the page. The pots are clustered together, their leaves overlapping. The leaves are painted in various shades of green, and the gray-brown pots cast dark gray and blue shadows on the background, which is beige paper.
