Capitolazione di una città

Giovanni Battista Tiepolo,

This is a drawing of a group of figures engaged in an interaction. The scene is depicted in a monochromatic sepia tone. The central focus is on a group of figures dressed in robes standing together. Some appear to be holding a large flat object. To the side stands a towering formation with an ornately detailed, draped fabric. The drawing's fluid lines and gentle wash of ink suggest movement and emphasize the dynamic posture of the figures.
