Convoi Funèbre au Boulevard de Clichy (Funeral Procession on the Boulevard de Clichy)

Französische Grafik 1887–1891, 1887

The artwork features a bustling street scene at night. The composition shows various figures and a carriage moving along the street, which disappears into the distance lined with buildings. The sky includes a prominent moon, with a cloudy sky partially obscuring it. The artwork employs fine, expressive brushstrokes or etching lines, creating a sketch-like quality. The color palette consists of dark tones and sepia hues, giving a vintage and atmospheric effect. Some buildings show signage with the words "HOTEL MEUBLE" and "GARANCE CLECY."
