Peasant Teasing a Sleeping Girl with a Twig

Italienische Grafik 1747–1775, 1763

This is a drawing of two individuals in a pastoral setting with sheep. The image shows two figures, possibly a man and a woman, dressed in period clothing. The man holds a staff and stands near the seated woman, who is focused on something in her hands. On the ground, there are a cylindrical container and a shallow bowl. Two sheep are lying on the grass behind them, with rolling hills and sparse trees in the background. The drawing style features fine lines and shading to emphasize details in the clothing and landscape texture.
