The Castle of Bürglen with the Alps Beyond

Deutsche Grafik 1850–1890, 1862

The image shows a landscape with lush vegetation viewed from above, with a path leading into the distance. Snow-capped mountains are visible in the background, and there is a building with a peaked roof nestled among trees slightly to the right of the center. The brushstrokes are loose and fluid, especially for the trees and foliage. The color palette is dominated by green tones in the vegetation, contrasting with earth tones in the winding path. A figure is walking along the path, and the sky is painted in soft blues and whites with hints of gray.
