Fish Crow

Audubon: Die Vögel Amerikas II, 1832

The image shows two large black birds perched on a tree branch with green leaves and large reddish-brown seed pods. The color palette includes deep blacks and grays of the birds, alongside vibrant green foliage and rich, earthy tones of the seed pods. The bird to the left is perched higher on the branch, wings slightly raised, and facing left, while the bird on the right is positioned lower and is turning its head towards something in its grip. The branching and leaves intersect diagonally across the image.
