Mary Cassatt, c. 1890

The image shows a woman sitting with her body turned to the right. Her right arm rests on a surface outside of the frame. She has a calm expression and is looking slightly to the side. Her dark hair is pulled back, revealing her facial features. She wears a light-colored garment with draped straps. She holds a partially open folding fan in her right hand. There is a small table with a cup, saucer, and pitcher next to her. The background is a textured dark surface with some floral or patterned elements.
